Lake & Boat Landings

Upper Saint Croix Lake is an 828-acre lake located in Douglas County, WI. It has a maximum depth of 22 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings. Fish include Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout and Walleye.

The nearest public boat landing is 0.3 miles away, on the north side of Prevost Road. The turn in is on the left when you come in from business highway 53 – it is after the railroad tracks but prior to turning right on the driveway leading down to the lodge. The road to the boat landing is gravel and very narrow. Only small water-craft like jet skis and fishing boats can be launched from this landing. There is no dock at the landing and very limited parking.

There is a larger public boat landing 1.8 miles away at 9336 East Main Street, next to the St. Croix Inn. There is designated accessible parking along the shoulder of Main Street. This is a concrete, ramp landing with a boarding dock. The launch depth is deeper than 3 feet, so it’s suitable for larger water craft, like pontoons.
